They are made in Montana out of wool from sheep raised in Montana and are locally sourced and constructed start to finish. Another little known tidbit is that Montana sheep are happier than all other sheep in the world (much like those of us that live here) and wool from happy sheep has better heat retention that wool from sad sheep or gloomy sheep. You can’t argue with science – or something!
Another cool/ functional aspect is that the wool is treated to feel like cashmere against your skin. It doesn’t pick up odors like Polypro and the heat retention when wet is off the chart. Yeah it’s a little more expensive but, think about all those happy Montana sheep giving their all, or most of their all, like 90% of their all which because of their attitude is far more like 100%, just for your living comfort. Selfless aren’t they?
