Bitteroot Fishing Report – 10/5

L-70

Bump, bump, bump goes the Bitteroot flows today. The river is on the rise from the rain but, should come down in a day or two. Today could be a little rainy, but the rest of the week is supposed to clear up nicely. The fishing has been very solid on the Bitterroot. We’re seeing a lot of mayflies, and droppers off attractor dries should turn fish. Still keep the BWOs in mind, along with the flies that have been working for the last couple weeks. Hecubas, hoppers, tricos, PMDs, mahoganies, caddis. Tossing a nymph rig is never a bad idea, and the streamer bite could turn hot with the cloud cover.
