Bitteroot Fishing Report – 3/20

L-29

A beautiful weekend to be out on the water! The nights have still been getting pretty cold so, take your time in the morning. Fish are really starting to look for bugs on top. Skwalas, march browns, baetis, and midges are all on the menu. The fish will be a little lethargic in the morning so, start with a double nymph rig. Micro san juans, rubber legs, crown jewels, purple princes, and biotic nymphs are all good choices. For skwalas use fat heads, flush floaters, royal cubbies, and peanuts. Streamer fishing has been a bit inconsistent but, its worth a try. Use skiddish smolts, sparkle minnows, sculpzillas, and double gongas. Enjoy the nice weather.
