Bitteroot Fishing Report – 6/15

L-DSC_0597

The fishing has been better on the upper end of the Bitterroot than the lower, but as a whole, it’s still not the best option locally. The flow is droping steady, so it shouldn’t be too long before it starts fishing well again. That being said, fast and dirty water is still a reality out here. If you do fish the Bitterroot, spend most, if not all of your time below the surface. Big, dark tandem nymph rigs with patterns like prince nymphs, Pat’s rubber legs, double-bead stones. Streamers are worth a shot too.

HATCHES/Flies: golden stones, pmd’s, green drakes, caddis
