Bitteroot Fishing Report – 7/6

L-73

The Bitteroot is fishing the best in the evenings and the mornings. With this recent cooler weather the dry fly fishing has been great. Doing a hopper dropper rig into the evening has been consistently GOOD. Evenings have been the best for head hunting opportunities. For dries, use PMDs, drakes, yellow sallies, caddis, Golden stones, hoppers, and other attractor patterns. For nymphs, use pheasant tails, caddis pupae, mayflies, small micro stones and Pat’s rubber legs. For Streamers use dark bodied buggers and sculpin patterns.
