Bitteroot Fishing Report – 4/20

L-60

The Bitterroot has been on a steady drop all week long. With today’s warmer temps we’ll definitely see another bump in the flows. The best fishing is still in the back and side channels and close to the banks. Fishing streamers and tandem nymph rigs will be your best bet. For nymphs use pheasant tails, supermans, San Juan worms, bread crusts, Pat’s rubber legs, big green machines, and hares ear nymphs. For streamers use flash fries, sparkle minnows, skiddish smolts, sculpzillas, and home invaders. You may still see some March browns, drakes, and skwalas popping on top. So, be prepared with some top water bugs.
