Guided Float trips on the Missouri with The Kingfisher Fly Shop

More of the same going on up here today which should make you happy.  We’ve been having some exceptional days on the ‘root lately.  If you’re a streamerhead, you’re in luck.  If you’re a dryfly junkie, you’re in for a treat.  If you like the ball and chain routine, you’ll definitely stay bent.  It’s going on in some capacity pretty much river-wide at this point.  The lower river (below Florence) is still the most challenging for the topwater guys since the water is slow, shallow and clear. There have been big fish rising down here even in the sun and they’ll definitely eat the perfect cast with the right bug.  Good luck with that! You may want to wait for the cloudy baetis advantage down here tomorrow.  Mid river and higher, it’s an easier proposition with everything from smaller yellow streamers to size 14 to 20 baetis and mahogany pattens.  Tan San Juans and red copper Johns have been doing a number for us subsurface.
