Bitterroot Fishing Report – 10/23

Blackfoot Fishing Reports

“Ye gods of this land! Preserve my son, the last and only anchor of my house, now settled in Thrace, the land of snow, safe in the keeping of his father’s friend. Some fresh disaster is in store, a new strain of sorrow will be added to our woe. Such ceaseless thrills of terror never wrung my heart before.”

We should see more rain and cool temps today. The mayfly action has been really good on the Bitterroot, and the weather shouldn’t change that, other than the tricos fading out. For dry flies, use parachute adams, October caddis, tricos, Hecubas, BWOs, baetis, and attractors. For nymphs, use prince nymphs, copper Johns, micro mayflies, caddis pupae, san juan worms, etc.
