Bitterroot Fishing Report – 8/14

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 4/4

Bitterroot Fishing Report - 4/21

The Bitterroot is still holding decent flows and should continue through the summer despite the weather.  The fishing on the East and West Fork has been a good option with the colder water and the morning and evening fishing has been great.  As with everything, it’s standard summer fare. Dry/dropper or picking off the risers. For dries, use PMDs, tricos, drakes, yellow sallies, caddis, Golden stones, hoppers, and other attractor patterns. For nymphs, use pheasant tails, caddis pupae, mayflies, small micro stones and Pat’s rubber legs. For Streamers use dark bodied buggers and sculpin patterns.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Love of Everything, Superior Mold and Die

Bobby Burg’s one-man band was just here at the VFW last Wendesday. He put on a great show with his experimental, multi-layered indie/pop.

HATCHES/Flies: Golden Stones, PMDs, caddis, yellow sallies, hoppers. Dark, heavy nymphs for subsurface. JJ’s specials, articulated streamers, bead-head woolly buggers.
