Bitterroot Fishing Report – 8/16

Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 4/14

The West Fork and upper stretches of the Bitterroot have been pretty good. Everywhere else has been sporadic, but catching it on a cloudy day could make all the difference. For dries, use PMDs, tricos, drakes, yellow sallies, caddis, Golden stones, hoppers, and other attractor patterns. For nymphs, use pheasant tails, caddis pupae, mayflies, small micro stones and Pat’s rubber legs. For Streamers use dark bodied buggers and sculpin patterns.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Death Cab For Cutie, Plans

With the announcement of Chris Walla’s departure, it seems appropriate to highlight one of Death Cab’s best albums. Find it anywhere that sells music.

HATCHES/Flies: Golden Stones, PMDs, caddis, yellow sallies, hoppers. Dark, heavy nymphs for subsurface. JJ’s specials, articulated streamers, bead-head woolly buggers.
