Bitterroot Fishing Report – 8/23

Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 4/12

Clark Fork River Fishing Report - 4/12

The Bitterroot continues to puzzle this summer, and the flow bump from the rain might not help anything. Standard summer stuff, tricos in the lower end, figure it out if you can; we’ve had trouble. For dries, use PMDs, Small baetis, purple hazes, tricos, drakes, yellow sallies, caddis, Golden stones, hoppers, and other attractor patterns. For nymphs, use pheasant tails, caddis pupae, mayflies, small micro stones and Pat’s rubber legs. For Streamers use dark bodied buggers and sculpin patterns.

Weekend Fishing Tunes: Decibully, World Travels Fast

Great band from Polyvinyl Records’ old lineup. Find their music for purchase on the Polyvinyl website: www.polyvinylrecords.com

HATCHES/Flies: Tricos, PMDs, caddis, yellow sallies, hoppers. Dark, heavy nymphs for subsurface. JJ’s specials, articulated streamers, bead-head woolly buggers.
