Bitterroot Fishing Report – 9/21

matt-16-L

The fishing has been very solid on the Bitterroot. We’re seeing a lot of mayflies, and droppers off attractor dries should turn fish. Still keep the BWOs in mind, along with the flies that have been working for the last couple weeks. Hecubas, hoppers, tricos, PMDs, mahoganies, caddis. Tossing a nymph rig is never a bad idea, and the streamer has been hot with the colder nights. For sub surface patterns use micro stones, pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan Worms, caddis pupae, double beaded stones and batman nymphs.
