Bitterroot Report – 5/27

BR-5-1-S-7It’s rippin’ right along these days, but the flows have been stable or dropping enough to give up some pretty decent fishing.  The mid and upper river are showing a slight bump this morning, but will likely level out in the next couple of hours.  We’re having pretty good nymph fishing, actually, in any kind of light current eddy or backwater.  There have been enough fish up on the dries by mid afternoon so it’s worth having some drakes and yellow sallies on hand.  Like Rock Creek, the ‘root can pack your lunch in a hurry if you’re not paying attention.  This is NOT rowing for novices or the indecisive!

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

Additionally, all dries and nymphs are $1.95 every day to begin with and nearly all streamers are $2.25 – EVERY day, EVERY week

HATCHES/Flies: a hopper or two in the sun, caddis, yellow sallies, March browns,  soon to be green drakes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Most of the water’s already out of the mountains.  Look for consistently receding flows with occasional bumps here and there.
