Bitterroot Report – 6/19

Blackfoot River Float trips

L-3Oh yeah!!  Happy happy!  The ‘root is going to rock today.  Rainy and warm conditions mean a mayfly extravaganza!  Green drakes and PMDs will have the fish looking to the surface pretty much all day long.  Everything from bigger button emergers to cripples to comparaduns should get you bent in today’s nearly ideal summer dryfly weather.  The cloud cover should help your lower river streamer prospects as well and will likely make for some VERY good big fish action with darker bodied bunnies and bugger type stuff.  While there’s supposed to be some wind today, it won’t mean anything other than you may have to row downstream at times.  The fish will be indifferent.  Flows are dropping and your Bitterroot fishing prospects are looking up.
