Bitterroot Report – 6/7

Bitterroot Fishing Report - 4/21

L-5There is an annoying “wave” of water moving down the ‘root right now.  It was up top around Darby yesterday, and is manifesting itself mid river as of this morning.  The lower river will be bumping by this afternoon as the upper begins to fall back into fishing friendly levels.  The river near Bell is up about 800cfs in 2 days and aggressively on the (temporary) rise.  You’ll work much harder today for what you get on any section below the forks.  Tomorrow will likely be an entirely different story as flows begin falling river-wide.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

Additionally, all dries and nymphs are $1.95 every day to begin with and nearly all streamers are $2.25 – EVERY day, EVERY week

HATCHES/Flies: salmonflies, a hopper or two in the sun, caddis, yellow sallies, soon to be green drakes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Most of the water’s already out of the mountains.  Look for consistently receding flows with occasional fishing interrupting bumps here and there.
