Bitterroot Report – 6/9

L-2A little extension to the annoying water bump!  The upper river is seeing flows about 300 cfs higher than on Friday while the lower river is up about 1500 cfs.  These are both pretty substantial bumps as a percentage of flow for these sections.  The good news is that the water clarity is still decent so if you can find some slower, quieter water like back channels or just pocket runs along rip wrap banks, these should produce for you both on top and with nymphs.  You’ll catch fish floating, but the river is definitely in an adjustment period.  This push won’t last and flow should come back into shape quickly regardless of the warm weather.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

Additionally, all dries and nymphs are $1.95 every day to begin with and nearly all streamers are $2.25 – EVERY day, EVERY week

HATCHES/Flies: salmonflies, hoppers in the sun, caddis, yellow sallies, green drakes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Most of the water’s already out of the mountains.  Look for consistently receding flows with occasional fishing interrupting bumps here and there.
