Flows area wide continue to plummet and most of the rivers are peaking in the high 60 degree range these days. The mid to upper river is fishing pretty well midday, for now, but the lower river has been tough in the sun. It makes up for in spade, though, when evening hits and the spinners and caddis come into play.  The glassy lower river is tough be rewarding fishing in the evening.  Hoppers, golden stones, PMD, ants have all been effective midday. If you’re floating the ‘root, consider launching at around 4 and floating ’till dark.  You may be surprised at the lack of company and the quality of fishing most floaters miss.
