Bitterroot River Fishing Report - 3/25
The Bitterroot Is still dropping and the clarity is excellent. With the flows
around 1650 cfs today and a forecast high around 60 degrees, today will be a
wonderful day to be out on the water. The nymph and streamer fishing will
be your best bet, with a BIG chance at some dry fly fishing mid day. If
the midges do come off mid day, using a size 16 or 18 dark bodied parachute
adams would work well. For nymphs, use a tandem rig with dark bodied
stoneflys with a pheasant tail or a San Juan worm with an egg pattern.
If you plan on wade fishing, The river is low enough now where it's manageable.
If you plan on floating below victor, stay in the center channel, the
right channel has big obstructions.
