Blackfoot Fishing Report – 10/24

L_72

The variable weather this weekend will make dry fly fishing up here much more hit and miss. Mahoganies and baetis will fish for you midday right now and a variety of patterns from #14 royal Wulffs to parachute Adams will work. Double beaded stones (in peacock) and red San Juans are doing about as well as anything else under an indicator. Streamers continue to be tempting for taking LARGE fish, but it hasn’t been red hot action by any means throwing the big stuff. Still, though, it’s your best option for sticking your “fish of the year” up here.

HATCHES: hecubas, hoppers, tricos, nocturnal stones, October caddis, BWOs, etc.
