Blackfoot Fishing Report – 3/31

L-27

The Blackfoot has dropped its way down to 930 cfs and the clarity is good. With a
high temperature of 50 degrees today, you should be able to find some trout and a little
bit of fun up here. The water temps are getting warm enough for the fish to start moving a
little. There is the possibility of a March Brown and Skwala hatch today. If that happens, a
small parachute adams and Rogue Skwala will cover that base. other than that window of dries,
you'll be committed to streamers and nymphs. Fish a tandem rig with big dark stone fly nymphs,
San Juan Worms, egg patterns and pheasant tails. If you choose to streamer fish, big black or
olive articulated streamers are an excellent bet for getting some big fish to move. If you
want to avoid the crowds and have the chance to fish alone, The Blackfoot is a great choice
today.
