Blackfoot Fishing Report – 4/20

L-65

The Blackfoot’s flows are just slipping down past 2500cfs and will probably start to rise again later today with the warmer temps in the forecast. Streamers and nymphs are going to be the name of the game but you may still see some top water action tight to the banks. For streamers use haymaker sculpins, flash fries, sparkle minnows, and anything big dark and articulated. For nymphs use , hares ears, jigstones, big green machines, Pat’s rubber legs, bread crusts, prince nymphs, and San Juan worms. Just in case you do see some dries coming off, a purple haze, parachute adams, or flush floating skwala should get you covered. The Higher flows displace the fish into the banks so, keep your junk tight to the shoreline.
