Blackfoot Fishing Report – 5/20

L-44

The Blackfoot has really dropped into shape. It is flowing at 2340 cfs and is a bit off color from the recent rain. Caddis in the evening have been out in a big way, though nymphing during the day has been the most productive. For nymphs use pheasant tails, supermans, San Juan worms, north fork specials, bread crusts, lightning bugs and rubberlegs. Streamers should turn some big fish too. The best luck with streamers has been with big dark articulated junk. For streamers use T&A leeches, haymaker sculpins, Bow river buggers, party girls, and sparkle minnows. Do not underestimate throwing dries tight to the willows.

HATCHES: baetis, mothers day caddis, grey drakes, skwalas
