Blackfoot Fishing Report – 5/3

The flow above Bonner crept down past 3200cfs. Streamers and nymphs are your best bet, but you should still see some top water action. March browns, caddis, and baetis will be the main hatches. Get out while its good! Major heat wave/push of water is coming our way. For streamers use haymaker sculpins , flash fries, sparkle minnows, and double gongas. For nymphs use pheasant tails, hares ears, supermans, purple princes, Pat’s rubber legs, bread crusts, and San Juan worms. Just in case you do see some dries coming off, a D&D cripple, parachute adams, or olive chubby should get you covered.

** The gate is still closed to Johnsrud and Cable Car boat launches. **

HATCHES: midges, caddis, March browns, baetis, skwalas, grey drakes
