Happy, happy times up on The Blackfoot right now. The flows have held steady around 3000 cfs and the fish are chowing. Fishing sub surface has been really good, but the afternoons have provided good opportunities for dry fly fishing. Still no salmon flies, but they are right around the corner. For dry flies use a royal chubby, hippie stomper, elk hair caddis, rogue stone, or a purple haze. For nymphs use big rubber legs, San Juan worms, bread crusts, purple princes, and double bead stones. For streamers use sex dungeons, sparkle minnows, and haymaker sculpins.
