Blackfoot Fishing Report – 6/3

Simms Guide Jacket

L-84

Happy, happy times up on The Blackfoot right now. The flows have held steady around 2620 cfs and the fish are chowing. Fishing sub surface has been really good, but the afternoons have provided good opportunities for dry fly fishing. Salmonflies have been spotted on the lower end of the river. For dry flies use a royal chubby, hippie stomper, elk hair caddis, rogue stone, flushfloater or a purple haze. For nymphs use big rubber legs, San Juan worms, bread crusts, purple princes, and double bead stones. For streamers use sex dungeons, sparkle minnows, and haymaker sculpins.
HATCHES: baetis, mothers day caddis, grey drakes, salmonflies?
