Blackfoot Fishing Report – 7/1

L-97

With the high temperatures and low flows, the Blackfoot has continued to fish really well. At this point in the summer, it would take the MVP title for the season. Don’t expect to be alone out here, though. Everyone wants to see what the hype is about. For dries use big elk hair caddis, hippie stompers, hoppers, Chernobyls, Stimulators, Rogue stones, half downs, bullet heads, parachute adams, and purple hazes. For nymphs use Pat’s rubber legs, princes, bread crusts, yellow Sloans, San Juan worms and batman nymphs. For streamers use big dark boogie mans, sculpzillas, flash fries, standard buggers, sparkle minnows and dark articulated patterns.
