Blackfoot Fishing Report – 7/23

S-24

The fishing has been great in the mornings and evening with a little bit of a slow time during the mid day heat. The best setup is still the dry/dropper rig, but single dries have been doing good work too. Thursday was the first real Spruce Moth hatch of the year so, make sure you have some in your box. For dries use hoppers, Chernobyls, Stimulators, Rogue stones, fat-head moths, snowshoe spruce moths, half downs, bullet heads, parachute adams, purple hazes and elk hair caddis. For nymphs use Pat’s rubber legs, princes, double beaded stones, micro stones, San Juan worms and batman nymphs. For streamers use big dark double bunnies, sculpzillas, mouthwashes, standard buggers, sparkle minnows and dark articulated patterns.

HATCHES: golden stones, green drakes, caddis, salmonflies, spruce moths
