Blackfoot Report – 10/11

Looks like today will pretty much be a repeat of the past few days with partly sunny conditions.  The Blackfoot has been fishing well for lots of little fish and some big boys thrown in every once in awhile.  The streamer fishing has picked up considerably in the past few days with olive or black offerings seeming to work the best.  The dry fly fishing is okay and during the midday window, it can be briefly exceptional.  We’re getting fish to rise for bigger skittering October caddis (like) stuff in 8s and 10s and mahoganies in the size 14 to 16 range. For pure consistency, it’s still tough to beat tandem nymph rigs using the standard fare such as double beads, silli legs, batmans and red San Juans.
