Blackfoot Report – 5/24

While lots of local options have begun to open up, the Blackfoot isn’t one of them at this point.  Water levels are on the rise here this morning and conditions were less than ideal even before this bump.  With Rock Creek and areas of the Bitterroot and Clark Fork fishing as well as they are, we consider this river, for now, your least viable option for any kind of consistency.

HATCHES: March browns, skwalas, blue wings yellow sallies

PATTERNS: Powell’s bunny sculpins, whitlock sculpines in black. Red or pink San Jaun worms in tandem with size 12 or 14 hare’s ear nymphs.
