Blackfoot Report – 6/11

P1000265The river’s back on the drop and beginning to fish again – especially with streamers and the afternoon/evening caddis.  We’re having decent success during the day with BIG attractor stuff like red paraX patterns with deep nymph droppers.  Stimi chew toys, tarantulas . . anything big and buggy!  The streamers and caddis have been where it’s at though.  Brighter colored peach, yellow, chartreuse and then . . .black.  Those have been the best colors for us in the past 2 days subsurface.  Starting about 3:30, the caddis have been coming off huge and dead-drifting or skating anything from smaller (like a 12) elk hair, Goddard, or yellow stimi will get you action.  The best of it is from around 3:30 until about 6.  The Blackfoot is definitely worth a look today!
