Blackfoot Report – 6/19

Missouri River Fishing Report - 3/27

S-1You should have some decent fishing on the Blackfoot today in the cloudy weather, but we don’t think it’ll be as good as your other 3 immediate options.  It’s taking a bit longer for the clarity to come back up here . . .which is an issue.  Still, though, there will be some fish looking up for big stoneflies, green drakes, PMDs and some afternoon caddis.  Your best bet is likely to be tandem nymph rigs or dark bodied streamers.  Size 14 tandem beadhead p-tails are a very good bet this time of year as are smaller black or brown bugger type stuff.

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

HATCHES: caddis,  PMDs, yellow sallies, salmonflies mid and upper river, drakes, hoppers, lots of stuff starting now . . .

PATTERNS: Salmonflies of all kinds, golden stones in sizes 6 to 14, whitlock sculpines in black. Attractor stuff in a size 8 or 10, elk hair or other caddis in a 12 or 14. Red or pink San Jaun worms in tandem with size 12 or 14 hare’s ear nymphs.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: You did know that the Kingfisher is the largest dealer of Simms in the Rocky Mountains didn’t you?
