The flow on the Blackfoot this morning is on the rise from the rains. The wind gusts are projected to hit 41 today. Hmmm . . . . You may want to pick another day this week if that’s an option. The rest of the week looks good. It’s definitely fall fishing up here these days and that means doing some prospecting on days when you’re not seeing consistently rising fish. Some days it’s as simple as a #12 or 14 royal Wulff and the next it’s the size 8 yellow stimulator. If you’ve cycled through a lot of patterns and still not getting it done on the surface, tandem p-tail nymph rigs have been good right off the bottom as have dark bodied size 8 bugger type stuff.
