Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 3/20

The Blackfoot is still dropping with the cooler weather we've been having and the flow
just above town is at 1000 cfs and getting nothing but better. The clarity is looking
good, but the water temp is still pretty cold, around 37 degrees F. If your heading up
here today, big black and olive streamers will turn some big fish if you can get it in
their faces. Deep tandem Nymph rigs are another great option. Use big black and olive
double beaded stones, brown Pat's rubber legs, fast water princes and red copper johns.
Fishing these down stream of where tributaries dump in will increase your chances
at hooking up today.

HATCHES: Midges, capnias, BWOs

PATTERNS: Red or pink San Jaun worms in tandem with size 12 or 14 squirrel tail nymphs. Size 16 or 18 para mayfly stuff

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: You know we’ll refill your Kingfisher label gink bottles for a buck dontcha?
