Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

If you are fortunate enough to not be working today, and want to capitalize on some great spring fishing, head up to the Blackfoot.  The top water action has still been a little slow, but you can expect that to change as our mid day highs approach the 60’s and 70’s.  You can count on tandem nymph rigs working all day long as well as streamers.  For streamers, big double bunnies, Dalai lamas, dark articulated meat bundles, big buggers and sculpzillas will all turn big fish today.  As far as the tandem nymph rigs, use San Juan worms, dark bodied double beaded stones, olive Pat’s rubber legs, prince nymphs, egg patterns, copper johns and pheasant tails.  Make sure your nymphs are close to the bottom.  Not having your bugs at the right depth can make all the difference in the world.  I would also have a couple purple hazes and chubby chernobyls on hand in case the top water action busts off today.

HATCHES: Midges, capnias,
PATTERNS: Red or pink San Jaun worms in tandem with size 12 or 14 squirrel tail nymphs. Size 16 or 18 para mayfly stuffADDITIONAL INFORMATION: You know we’ll refill your Kingfisher label gink bottles for a buck dontcha?
