Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 5/25

L-DSCN1087Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

The Blackfoot has pushed past 9000cfs, with plenty of dirty water to go around. Lakes around this area will be better options. Blanchard Lake, Harpers Lake, Seeley Lake, Lake Inez, Upsata Lake, etc. Take some Woolly Buggers and assorted nymph patterns. A parachute adams, purple hazes or Goddard caddis’ should work on top. Have some longer leaders with you if you’re fishing still water.
