Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 6/1

L-dad-6Beginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!After the drop in flows, the Blackfoot is hovering at 8,000cfs, but it’s still high and muddy, and we should expect to see flows spike again this next week. Fishing the lakes in the area will be a much better option. Blanchard Lake, Harpers Lake, Seeley Lake and Salmon Lake all hold some good fish. Woolly Buggers and assorted nymph patterns should get it done. Parachute adams, purple hazes or Goddard caddis’ should work on top. Have some longer leaders with you if you’re fishing still water.
