Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 6/15

Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 4/19

Clark Fork Fishing Report - 4/1

Happy Father’s Day! With the (welcomed) rain we had at the end of the week, the Blackfoot bumped a little in flows, back up to around 5400cfs. The end of the week also brought our first report of salmonflies up here. As you can tell, it’s a mixed bag of good, not-so-good, and bad news from the Blackfoot. You can definitely head up and catch some fish, if you earn them, but it’s still higher and dirtier than is preferred. Give it a week or two, and things should be looking pretty good. Use big dark streamers like black wool head sculpins and mouthwashes. For nymphs, tandem rigs under an indicator would be your best bet. Use San Juan worms, double beaded stones, micro stones, pat’s rubber legs and prince nymphs.
