Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 6/29

L-DSC_0894

The Blackfoot is the only local river that has stayed relatively stable through this week during the rain. It’s also the river getting the most pressure right now. The fishing has been good, though. We’ve been seeing good numbers of salmon flies, golden stones, yellow sallies, BWOs and caddis.  The best fishing is still right off the banks in the softer water, but the fish are definitely looking up.  For dries use Chernobyls, Stimulators, Rogue stones, half downs, bullet heads, parachute adams, purple hazes and elk hair caddis.  For nymphs use Pat’s rubber legs, princes, double beaded stones, micro stones, San Juan worms and batman nymphs.  For streamers use big dark double bunnies, sculpzillas, mouthwashes, standard buggers, sparkle minnows and dark articulated patterns.
