Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 6/5

Rock Creek Fishing Report - 4/10

Blackfoot Fishing ReportsBeginning in April, once a week we will post a brief description of a rig we saw during the previous week that had one of our Kingfisher stickers on the window. When you recognize it as being your car described in our hatch report, stop into the shop and pick out 2 dozen nymphs or dries on us!!

The Blackfoot is continuing its gradual draw down but is taking its good sweet time. The flow at Bonner is sitting around 7600 cfs and the clarity is slowly improving too. Our best fishing has been with streamers but tandem nymph rigs have been getting hooked up as well. For streamers use super buggers, sculpzillas, double bunnies, big articulated junk and yellow yummys. For nymphs use big double beaded stones, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan worms and fast water princes. Your best fishing is going to be right off the banks and on the upper sections of the Blackfoot, so if you can make the drive a little ways out of town, it could certainly be worth it.
