Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 7/3

Guided Fishing Clark Fork River

Blackfoot River Fishing Report - 3/27

With the rain gone, the Blackfoot is now dropping again, and has gone below 3200cfs. It’s getting hit hard, seeing as though it’s the only reliable river to be floating right now. We’ve been seeing good numbers of salmon flies, golden stones, yellow sallies, BWOs and caddis.  The best fishing is still right off the banks in the softer water, but the fish are definitely looking up.  For dries use Chernobyls, Stimulators, Rogue stones, half downs, bullet heads, parachute adams, purple hazes and elk hair caddis.  For nymphs use Pat’s rubber legs, princes, double beaded stones, micro stones, San Juan worms and batman nymphs.  For streamers use big dark double bunnies, sculpzillas, mouthwashes, standard buggers, sparkle minnows and dark articulated patterns.
