Blackfoot River Fishing Report – 7/12

Blackfoot River Float trips

L-8

Of the local rivers, the Blackfoot tends to fish the best in bright sun. This makes it a great summertime river, and a good option for this weekend, as hot temperatures and cloudless skies are in store. Set yourself up with a bushy attractor with a beadhead nymph dropper, and you should be in good shape. For dries use Chernobyls, Stimulators, Rogue stones, half downs, bullet heads, parachute adams, purple hazes and elk hair caddis. For nymphs use Pat’s rubber legs, princes, double beaded stones, micro stones, San Juan worms and batman nymphs. For streamers use big dark double bunnies, sculpzillas, mouthwashes, standard buggers, sparkle minnows and dark articulated patterns.
