Blackfoot River Report – 7/6

DSCN4098Looks like the typical summer day of fishing up on the Blackfoot today. Nothing really new going on up here with decent fishing all day long. The fish are rising to PMDs early, attractors and terrestrials midday and caddis in the evenings.  Pulling streamers through the SHALLOW tail-outs of pools has been very effective for us lately and an ant/hopper dry combo throughout the heat of the day is golden.  Avoid the lower sections of the river unless you’re ready to be elbow deep in unregulated rubber river monsters.
