The streamer fishing is good on the Clark Fork throughout the whole river, but consistency is coming from the upper end. Don’t let the potential wet weather this afternoon steer you away. The streamer fishing can be good when it’s nasty. For dries, use October caddis, mayfly duns and cripples, BWOs, small attractor patterns. For nymphs, use Pat’s rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, double beaded stones, San Juan worms, caddis pupae, Pheasant tails and batman nymphs. For streamers, use black, olive, or yellow/rust combinations.

 

HATCHES:  mahoganies, midges, October Caddis, BWOs

FLIES: Small purple haze, mahoganies, Morris Hoppers, chubby chernobyls, caddis, Prince nymphs, golden stones/nymphs, streamers.
