Reports from the Clark Fork have been marginal. With the weather being how it is, keeping your bugs below the surface will be the best approach for catching fish. For dries, use October caddis, mayfly duns and cripples, BWOs, small attractor patterns. For nymphs, use Pat’s rubber legs, micro stones, prince nymphs, double beaded stones, San Juan worms, caddis pupae, Pheasant tails and batman nymphs. For streamers, use black, olive, or yellow/rust combinations.
FLIES: Small purple haze, mahoganies, Morris Hoppers, chubby chernobyls, caddis, Prince nymphs, golden stones/nymphs, streamers.
