Clark Fork Fishing Report – 4/2

L-12

The Clark Fork is really starting to fish well, both upper and lower. Fish are starting to move around, getting ready to spawn. Skwalas, march browns, and baetis have been hatching around mid-day. For skwalas try a flush floater, widow wings, half-down, or a rogue stone. Fish a dry-dropper rig until you find fish podded up eating baetis and march browns. For mayfly patterns try rocky mtn mints, purple haze, brindle shoots, foam-back ermergers, smoke jumpers, and BWO’s. Streamer fishing has been a bit inconsistent, better on cloudy days. Try a skiddish smolt, meat whitle, or a lil’ kim. Enjoy the sunshine!

HATCHES: baetis, skwalas, march browns
