Clark Fork Fishing Report – 5/8

L-11

The Clark Fork is still pretty high and off color. The flow in town is around 6790 cfs and is going to start rising again after the next couple of days of warmer temps we have in store. The fishing in the main channel remains poor but if you can sneak in downstream of a clear flowing tributary you can stand a decent chance. The upper sections are going to be a little more manageable if you can make the drive up there. It’s going to be a streamer and nymph game. Pheasant tails, Pat’s rubber legs, supermans, bread crusts, jig stones, San Juan worms and north fork specials are all good bets underneath.

HATCHES: March browns, skwalas, grey drakes, baetis
