Clark Fork Fishing Report – 6/8

L-86

The Clark Fork is up too 12,600 cfs now and a bit dirty. The best fishing is going to be above town where the higher flows diminish a little. look for back and side channels and clear running tributaries for some other options as well. Streamers and double nymph rigs have been the most successful but people have been finding some spotty dry fly action in the slower water. For streamers, sculpzillas, nacy p’s, krelix minnows, sparkle minnows, and standard buggers will all be good bets in the slower water. For nymphs, drop big stonefly nymphs, Pat’s rubber legs, San Juan worms, purple princes, psycho princes, and batman nymphs. If you do see any drys coming off be prepared with some drakes, BWOs, salmonflies, and caddis for the evening.

HATCHES: Drakes, a few BWOs, caddis

Other Info: The Kingfisher is the largest dealer of Simms Fishing Products in the Rocky Mountains.
