Clark Fork Report – 6/13

S-3REPORT:

It’s been good stuff on the river lately provided you’ve been way up high or way down low.  The mid river floats and wading opportunities have varied from sleepy to spectacular just depending on the day.  High and low have provided MUCH better consistency the past week.  TONS of the mid sized yellow/orange stoneflies on the uppermost sections of the Clark recently and the fish have been on them voraciously.  The lower river is seeing good numbers of goldens, drakes and evening caddis.  On overcast days, the dark streamers have been punishing the fatties too.  If the wind doesn’t pound you today on the lower river, there’s definitely opportunities to be had!  The fish down below Missoula (Forest Grove/Superior/St Regis) have been working the surface ravenously for goldens and drakes.  The uppermost river is also fishing very well on top and giving up excellent streamer action too.
