Clark Fork Report – 6/17

L-1REPORT:

It’s going down now like someone pulled the plug!  Good fishing top to bottom at this point with attractor dries, PMDs, golden stones and especially evening caddis.  The uppermost river is back on its size 10 orange/yellow stonefly kick as well as being streamer Nirvana, while the lower river is fishing best sowing the seams and the likely runs with a variety of stuff from leggy attractor stuff like stimi chew toys to royal Wulffs.  You won’t see a ton of risers, but solid drifts in the right places will get eaten often enough to keep things interesting.  If you stay out until late afternoon and into the evening, you will DEFINITELY see risers and LOTS of caddis.  Good stuff with elk hairs, goddard and X caddis!

1/2 OFF Fridays.  50% Off your 1st dozen nymphs and dries!  Every Friday – Every Week

HATCHES: Salmonflies, drakes, PMDs, caddis, even a few hoppers on the warm afternoons.

FLIES: Big button emergers or parachute patterns, standard stonefly attractor junk with 18″ droppers. Big prince nymphs, Peacock double beads, Griffith’s gnats and zebra midges on sunny days, slow moving crystal buggers or bunny junk in #8s that’re peach or yellow, double dutch skwala, size 18 adams or purple haze.

Other Info: Buy a bottle of Kingfisher brand fly floatant and we’ll refill it for you for 1 measly dollar all year long!
