Clark Fork Report – 6/19

L-4REPORT:

The potential is there for this river to be a rock star today, it just depends on how windy it gets.  The lower river should be green drake central today and the subsurface action should be really solid too with dark buggers and/or brown rubber legs and San Juans.  Even if you’re not seeing a ton of fish rising, good drifts down likely seams will motivate strikes.  The Clark has been fishing unusually well in the wind this season, so even if it does get a bit gnarly out there, your prospects are still good.  The flow near St. Regis is down about 1100 cfs in the past 2 days.  That’s like pulling out 2 Rock Creek’s worth of water!
